DPS Impact Texas Drivers Course
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is now requiring all drivers license applicants to complete an Impact Texas Drivers course.Impact Texas Drivers is an online 1-hour course offered by the DFW Driving Training School. All DPS drivers license applicants must now complete an ITAD (Impact Texas Adult Drivers) course.
ITAD must be completed at least 90 days before the applicant takes the behind the wheel skills examination at DPS or via a 3rd party tester. For drivers license applicants aged 18-24, this 6 hour ITAD course is available. If you’re 25 or older, you may also complete this course and bypass the written test process at DPS.
